About Aruba Now

Live island updates

Local happenings.
Handpicked spots worth your time.

Aruba Now exists because keeping track of what is actually happening in Aruba is surprisingly difficult sometimes.

Events get announced the Aruba way. Last minute.

Aruba Now keeps track of the island in real time.

One Person. One Island.

Aruba Now is built, written, designed, updated, researched, tested, and constantly expanded by one person.

Me.

Born in Austria. Raised between Europe and Aruba. My mother is Italian, which means food was always taken very seriously. After years of flying back and forth, I eventually moved to Aruba myself.

Aruba is small, fragile, and deeply loved by the people who call it home.

Aruba Now exists to help both visitors and locals discover more of the island, support local businesses, and appreciate the places, people, and experiences that make Aruba unique.

Most people visiting Aruba see maybe 5% of the island

The same beaches. The same bars. The same crowded hotspots. The same “hidden gems” that stopped being hidden 15 years ago.

Aruba Now is a personally curated collection of current events, local happenings, charming spots with personality, quiet corners, and real island life. Updated daily.

Every place on this page is handpicked. No paid placements. No “Top 10 Things To Do In Aruba” nonsense.

No tourism that damages the island, its nature, or its animals.

Just places with personality.
