Tres Trapi is a small rocky cove on Aruba's northwest coast and one of the island's most popular snorkeling spots. The main attraction isn't the beach, because there isn't much of one. It's the sea turtles. On calm days, snorkelers regularly spot them just offshore, which explains why this tiny stretch of coastline appears on so many Aruba itineraries. Getting into the water involves a short climb down natural rock steps, and the conditions are usually best when the sea is calm. Most people arrive with a mask, a snorkel, and one specific goal. The turtles know this. If you spot one, admire it from a respectful distance and never touch or chase it. The turtles were here first.
