Ayo Rock Formations

Daily
8 AM – 6 PM

Just rocks and silence. And goats appearing from absolutely nowhere.

The area was once used by the island’s indigenous Caquetío people as shelter and lookout points, which gives the whole landscape an older, almost untouched feeling. Lizards casually run across the rocks, goats appear out of nowhere, and the whole place feels very far away from resort Aruba.

What makes Ayo special is the silence. Once the bigger groups leave, you mostly hear wind, birds, and your own footsteps between the rocks. Bring water, good shoes, maybe even a book, and find a quiet place to sit for a while. Aruba suddenly feels very different out here.
